Albert Einstein once said, "If you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." The Prius does a lot of things incredibly well; it's reliable, easy to drive, can carry four full-size adults in comfort, and a pair of humanoid bipeds over 6ft tall can even sleep in the back with the seats folded flat in a climate-controlled environment, thanks to the hybrid system. Oh, and of course, it gets incredible fuel economy. However, until we came along, the words "Prius" and "Offroad" had never been used in the same sentence, at least not in a positive sense. With one of our 1.5" lifts, some oversized all-terrain tires, an aluminum skid plate, and a few other off-road accessories, it's incredible just how capable these small but mighty vehicles become. That being said, if your primary focus for your daily driver is going off-road, the Prius will only get you so far, literally. Despite how much of an improvement our products make in exploring off the beaten path, there simply is no replacement for a dedicated all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive platform.
As much as we would love to see everyone driving around in lifted Prii, sometimes it just isn't the right fit for the individual and in situations like this, you're better off getting something along the lines of a Subaru. "But stock is boring, and I want to outfit my Subaru to look different from every other Teva-wearing, tree-hugging, nature lover wrapped from head to toe in Patagonia!"
